About me

My name is Larisa Loke (Yen Chin), and I am a Ph.D. student in Mechanical Engineering at Northwestern University (Evanston, IL). I am working under the supervision of Dr Brenna D. Argall at argallab, located in the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab in Chicago, IL.

My research interests are in rehabilitation and assistive robotics, with a focus on the following topics:

  • How to more effectively and comprehensively utilize information from human input signals to enhance the functionality of control interfaces for assistive devices.
  • How to address key considerations for adapting assistive robotics research for real-world deployment.

Thesis Topic: Human input signal interpretation for real-world deployment in assistive robotics
